THE CORONET THEATRE

The Coronet Theatre began its life as a Victorian theatre back in the late 1800`s. Then known as the Elephant & Castle Theatre, it acted as a stepping stone for the likes of Charlie Chaplin and remained a popular venue until the late 1940s when it was transformed into an ABC Cinema.

THE RESTORATION PROJECT

The 6 month, 2 million pound restoration project overseen by renovation experts was planned according to a singular brief ..... to create a 21st century entertainment venue from the ruins of a beautiful 19th century building that had fallen into disrepair and in doing so, to restore one of South London`s historic venues to its former glory.

THE RESULT

The all-new CORONET THEATRE represents a versatile 21st century state-of-the-art venue.

Some recent performances and events - Alicia Keys, Oasis, Placebo, Dirty Pretty Things, Blur, Primal Scream, CSS, Mia, The Enemy, Santogold, The Horrors, The Libertines, Juno Reactor, Infected Mushroom, Antiworld parties, Breakin Science and the ever popular Secretsundaze Parties

The sheer versatility of The Coronet means it is suitable for almost any type of event. Live music, club nights , product launches, exhibitions, fashion shows, theatre and conferences can all be catered for. Day time hire can be used for video shoots, fashion shoots, rehearsal space, pre-production and castings.
