barhouse opened 1st Aug 2008 and is the first music venue in Chelmsford dedicated to both live bands & acts plus cutting edge dance music. It is also the first venue in Chelmsford to stage live graffiti & art nights.

The downstairs Live Room is kitted out with a full live music set up while the upstairs Lounge leans heavily towards dance music culture. barhouse has 2 rooms of different music and a covered outside area with sofas, pool table and bar.

Music featured is a mix of live bands, acts & DJs covering indie, house, electro, rock, techno, hip hop, disco, metal, breaks, bmore, electronica, dubstep, d&b, acoustic and more.
