Unorthodox Paradox presents Pleasure Complex & 7shades.

Making their Midlands debut, Pleasure Complex will be venturing north from the barren spiritual wasteland of old London Town. Arising phoenix-like from the ashes of 'Mother' (who UP regulars may remember for their deth defying performance at the 2015 'Midlands Edition' at The Bridges), Pleasure Complex have lost none of that live edge, instead adding several layers of pop naus and songwriting skill to make the whole package even more nutritious. Bolstered by the spectacular angular guitar of Scott Rimington (GLASS, The Gathering Doubt), theirs is a sound that is sharp as a pin, and as 'now' as a zen alarm clock. You'd be well advised to check them out before inevitable crossover success moves them to places much further away than the pub on your doorstep.

Meanwhile UP stalwarts 7shades return to amuse and confuse, with a set that will feature brand new material from their third album, due for release in Summer 2017. You might say that the band has matured in terms of performance & songwriting, but that would just be to say that the material has got even tastier and even smellier. Still pretty much a ludicrous proposition, a live gig from 7shades is (as Cursor Miner put it) - "Like being kidnapped by a bunch of semi-delinquent wizards and beaten round the head with inflatable cutlery.". Or, as Roger Trenwith from The Progressive Aspect said about last album 'Bursting' - "Musical inventiveness oozes out of every zero and one on this kaleidoscopic album…edge-of-seat inspired lunacy"

Support to be confirmed, but inevitably DJs will keep your brain massaged in between bands, and visual stimuli will be provided to dazzle your peepers.
