Davey Boy

Davey is the co-founder and most prolific known DJ from the Ecko Records brand. Best known for his love of Bass Driven house tracks whilst on the decks and pumped up set's, he's also known for his own production's behind a computer and has worked with a string of well known name's such as 'Funkagenda', 'Damae (Fragma)', 'Brother's Bud', 'Tony Di Bart', Thomas Graham and more. Davey has worked on both side's of radio, first being introduced to pirate radio (Silk City) back in 2001 where he worked his way up from a late Thursday night slot to a prime time slot on a tuesday evening and eventally taking the main prime time slot on a friday evening. This slot lasted until 2008 which was when the pirate station ceased to be no more but Davey's love affair with broadcasting on radio would be restarted in 2010 when approached and signed up by 'Big City Radio' to present the main Saturday night slot from 8pm to 10pm, Davey can now be found on the Decadence Radio station. As one of the leading labels & DJ's in the 'Bassline House' scene from 2003 to 2007, Davey and his label 'Ecko Records' enjoyed much success and won 7 awards over the 4 year period as well as signing around 12 tracks from the label (many his own production's) to main stream label's such as Ministry Of Sound and All Around The World as well as doing countless remixes along the way for other's and many can be found on CD comp release's in your local HMV's and even Asda's! Davey's personal DJ career started back in 1995, as a fresh faced school leaver, he was amazed at the electric atmosphere found at the club's he visited and even attended illegal rave's in unused factories and warehouse's. This prompted Davey into learning the tricks of the trade on the Wheel's Of Steel and a great love of current club hit's and classic's soon followed and took place in Davey's heart. In 2000 Davey started to break out onto the Birmingham club scene and held resident spot's at various club's and events including 'S.L.A.G', 'Hidden Bar', 'Subway City' 'Club Platinum' before travelling numerous time's to 'Eden - Ibiza', 'BCM - Magaluf', 'Bassline Weekender - Costa Del Sol' and even 2 trip's to USA. In today's clubbing market you'll find Davey playing at place's such as Ministry Of Sound and his musical style has slightly changed with the more grown up and cooler house sound being played but still keeping that love for bass driven tracks. This new style seem's to be paying off massively as near enough every track that Davey has produced lately has been signed up by record label's stretching all the way over to South Africa.
