Description

Noreen Khan hosts a night of comedy with some of the UKs favourite female acts.

** Maria Shehata **

Maria Shehata is an award winning American comedian quickly making a name for herself in the UK. She has a conversational delivery and no-nonsense candor that is sardonic yet playful, and has been charming audiences all over the US, UK, and Europe.

Maria's writing has been featured in Modern Love in the New York Times and her stand up has been on Comedy Central's The Watch List, Showtime's Bridging the Gap, and Nuvo TV's Stand Up and Deliver. She was one of six comedians featured in the series The Cradle of Comedy and appeared in the film 100 Jokes. Maria is winner of Best Comedian at the Hollywood Festival of New Cinema, and Best Comedy at the Miami Web Fest where she was nominated for Best Actress.

Watch out for Maria in the upcoming film Brand New Old Love, Seeso's Hidden America with Jonah Ray, and the documentary Just Like Us now available on Netflix.

** Annette Fagon **

Annette Fagon is a loud and engaging comic. Growing up as that rare thing in the midlands of the 1980s, the daughter of a Jamaican newsagent mother, has clearly left its mark. Despite years of child drama classes and theatre performances, Annette frustrated her mother by spending 6 years at university, leaving without a degree, and returning to work there for a further 2 years. After a variety of odd jobs - disability support worker, theatre house manager, comedy club waitress - Annette took up an odder job, in stand up comedy. Currently talking - loudly - about everything from hoodies and mobile phone habits to Beyonce's mental state, she has made rapid progress, appearing at theatres around the country. Annette's early efforts have quickly created a buzz.

** Shazia Mirza **

Shazia Mirza is an award winning British stand up comedian and writer.

But what do awards mean anyway? Everyone's got an award. You get awards these days just for leaving the house and recycling your yogurt pots.

Shazia's recent TV appearances include The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV), Graham Norton (BBC), Loose Women (ITV), The Late Late Show (RTE), Top Gear (BBC), and is a regular panelist on The Wright Stuff (Channel 5), The Frank Skinner Show (Absolute Radio)  & 'Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.

Her latest stand up show, 'The Kardashians Made Me Do It' was critically acclaimed all over the UK, US, Sweden, Ireland, and Paris, and completed four sell out runs at London's Soho Theatre, and 103 tour dates internationally.

Her parents just want her to get married.
