SLIM... the people's Choice, and former bus driver is the undisputed pound for pound champion on the comedy circuit & arguably one of the UK's most popular comedians. Voted the UK's No1 male urban comedian for the past 5 years, has won many awards including Best Male Comedian at the 2004 UK Black Entertainment Comedy Awards, he was voted by other black British comics as their favourite comedian in 2005 an accolade he has since won twice. He won the Black Tie Comedy Award for Best Male Comedian and the Black Tie Comedy Award for Best Comedy TV Performance in 2009 and won the Birmingham International Film Festival MVSA award for Best Comedian in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, 2012 & 2013 he won the TIEMO Best Comedian Award. He first performed in 1993 at the Hackney Empire in front of an audience of 1,500 people. Since then he has appeared in every major city in the UK, he is a regular on the Jongleurs, Glee, Comedy Club and Comedy Store comedy circuits, he has performed at Glastonbury Festival and V Festivals and internationally in Europe, the Caribbean and the US. In 2009 Slim sold out the Hackney Empire with his one man show I AM SLIM before a UK tour. In 2011 he sold out 2 nights at the Empire with SLIM IN WONDERLAND which he took to Edinburgh Festival that year. Slim has supported US acts John Witherspoon, Bill Bellamy, Kevin Hart, Eddie Griffin and Mark Curry on their UK tours. After the Bill Bellamy tour, Slim was invited to Los Angeles where he became the 1st Black British comic to perform at the world famous Hollywood Comedy Store in Feb 2005. He has since visited LA 3 times and performed at Club Improv, The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and more. TV and film credits include BBC2's sketch comedy show The A Force (1997 & 2000), Channel 4's Nights Out at the Empire (1999), BBC2's drama 'Attachments' (2002), ITV's Comedy Factory (2006), Voice of the LILT Parrot for ITV3 (2009) which he also scripted, The Most Annoying People of 2010 BBC3, feature film It's A Lot (2013), All About The McKenzies (on line comedy series 2013) and OnesNtwos (on line comedy series 2013). A hugely successful stand up hero, Slim is a name on everyone's lips as the best thing to emerge from the underground. His original and versatile talents have seen him perform at top venues around the world. His ability to capture aspects of life and twist them into his own brand of comedy transcends boundaries of race, age and gender and is guaranteed to have you cracking up in your seat.
