Atmosfear are widely regarded as one of the UK's most influential bands of the 1980s, coming from the same (Elite Records) stable as Level 42 and producing a number of anthem tracks including their timeless debut single 'Dancing in Outer Space' that has stood the test of time and is now universally considered an absolute global dance floor classic that still shakes the bars and club dance floors around the world today. Following the success of 'Dancing in Outer Space' the band became a recording artist with Universal's MCA Records who produced their debut album entitled 'En-trance', featuring a number of hit singles including - Invasion, Motivation. Ex-tract, Creators Dream, and Interplay. Atmosfear's second hit single, a jazzy instrumental featuring the Vibraphone called 'Ex-Tract' became the legendary 'DJ' Pete Tong's club classic at Kent's West Kingsdown venue 'The Hill Top Club'. Over the years, a number of Atmosfear's tracks have attracted the attention of several internationally renowned re-mix DJs including Paris' Dimitri who has remixed both Motivation several times and Dancing in Outer Space. Also in the USA - New York's 'Masters at Work' remix team of "Little" Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez produced a very impressive remix' of Dancing in Outer Space. Another Atmosfear song 'Xtra Special' penned by Lester Bachelor introduced the singing talents of Beverley Skeete who became a prolific Vocalist supporting many well-known artists and who is currently the lead Singer with Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. Xtra Special was also covered in the USA by Dollete McDonald (lead Singer who has been featured with David Byrne's Talking heads and on Sting's 1985 Jazz influenced first solo album). Atmosfear continues to create excitement and intrigue with their own brand of intergalactic British Funk dance music
