VIVY B Information

Vivy B started her Djing Career in 1984 on a Pirate Radio Station in South London. With Her deep Passion for Soul Music, Vivy Was continually being asked to play at House Parties, and other private events like Weddings & Engagements. Soon she had her first residency in a small bar called Heatherlys. Vivy spent all her spare cash on Vinyl, and Her music came FIRST. In the very early 90s Vivy soon realised No clubs at the time that were playing Soul Music & there was no where decent to go to mix with likeminded Soul Music Lovers (as the Acid house was big at the time) So she Started her own club Called SOUL NETWORK. Soul Network started small, but even then, was a fantastic event, bringing other soul music lovers together to Dance the night away to The music they loved. After the first few Soul Network parties, it quickly became a word of mouth thing, every one was GAGGING for a place to go with this fantastic VIBE, LOVELY HAND PICKED CROWD and of course WICKED MUSIC. Soul Network soon grew too big for the venue, It had worked well and 12 years later is Still Going strong, in a much larger venue in The City, on the Last Saturday of every month. www.soulnetwork.co.uk During the time Vivy had started Soul Network she discovered She had a quite a talent on the Decks, and could Mix, there was a big demand for Vivy's Mix Tapes, which had hit the Street, and from this Vivy was offered a residency in Emporium For Soul Central. During the late 90's Vivy also was resident at The Sound Republic in Leicester Square, and played in various other clubs including The Jazz Cafe for the Shola Ama Gig, The Mermaid Theatre, Iceni, club Shhh (the old voodoo lounge) & 10 rooms and held down two other monthly residencies in Camden The O Bar and Gecko, Along with still running her Monthly Night Soul Network, in various venues across London. In 2001 Vivy did some internet Radio, but decided she much preferred the Buzz of the Clubs and actually seeing the crowd react to her music. She became international when she played at The Eye Bar in St James Barbados later that year. In 2002 vivy Started Doing Soul Weekenders, she was offered a residency on the "then New Soul Village weekender" which she has played on every year since even when she was 8 months pregnant!!
