After previous sell out shows around the UK Desi Central returns to Luton Library Theatre with an amazing line-up and night of nothing but laughter.

Eshaan Akbar

Eshaan Akbar has established himself as an act with exciting potential. Winner of the Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year 2016, Eshaan has been in the finals of other prestigious competitions. He performs worldwide & his professional career has taken him from private banking through to corporate communications via a career in local government public policy.

Patrick Monahan

Audience favourite Patrick Monahan blends a high energy comedy style with hilarious and engaging topical and observational material. Known for working a room, Patrick is adored by his audiences with whom he makes an effortless connection!

From February 2016 the family's favourite funnyman (and occasional disco dancer) is on tour across the UK with his brand new stand-up show The Disco Years! Charged by Patrick's memories and reminiscences of being an immigrant to Great Britain, this is a laugh out loud show that is both thoughtful and smart as well as brilliantly silly!

Jay Sodagar

Jay terms his comedy as Social Conscience Comedy, this genre underlines observational, political and straight stand-up, and he likes to make people think about his material after they've laughed.
He was heavily involved with Comedy Improvisation, as part of the first all Asian Impro Team, which now tours Canada and the US.
Writing is a passion of Jay's and he has written a material including sketch shows for TV and a feature length film script.
He also made a short film and entered it into a major short film competition, and made it through to the final.

In the little spare time he has, Jay teaches stand-up comedy.

He has appeared everywhere from tiny comedy clubs to large theatres to Television and even around the world (France, Croatia, New York, LA).

'What night would not be complete without the razor sharp acerbic wit of Jay Sodagar' - BBC

Nabil AbdulRashid

Probably a name it took you a while to remember but a comedian/person and speaker you'll never forget. Nabil has been a professional stand up comic for over six years and has appeared on ITV, BBC2, Channel 4, Channel AKA, London Live, 5 Live, The Islam Channel, British Muslim TV & much more.

He's toured the UK and abroad as a stand up comedian, Holland to Tanzania as well as a motivational speaker and has had over a million views on YouTube from his social commentary.

As a humanitarian Nabil has helped raise money for orphanages, schools, wells and other charitable projects in Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Palestine, Iraq as well as his family charitable project in Nigeria. Nabil has also cofounded a non for profit organisation in the U.K. Which provides shelter and housing for vulnerable young people and victims of domestic violence.

Despite all of this he is proudest of being a father, husband, marvel and dc fan (yes he can't decide between the two) and all around stand-up guy.
