Headline Acts

Description

Noreen Khan hosts a night of comedy with some of the UKs favourite female acts.

** Sindhu Vee **
Sindhu Vee is a British-Indian comedian and a mother of three. A former Investment banker, she has studied Political Science and Philosophy before becoming a stand-up comedian. Sindhu believes that being funny is in her genes. This new lady on the comedy scene is sure to bring smiles with unparalleled sarcasm and wit.

** Emily Lloyd-Saini **

Emily Lloyd-Saini is a Nottingham born stand up comedian, writer and actor, based in London. Emily trained at the Oxford school of Drama, graduating in 2010. In 2011 she made it to the finals of the Funny Women stand up competition and now, between acting jobs, she regularly performs at and MC's stand-up comedy nights across London. She was a quarter finalist in the 'BBC New Comedy Awards' in 2011 and a member of improv group, 'Battleacts'. Emily's first hour long stand up show 'Is This Part of The Show?' debuted at Edinburgh Fringe 2016, as did her first sketch show 'Static' as double act EGG. Both shows were nominated and shortlisted for the 'Funny Women Best Female Show Award'.

** Annette Fagon **
Annette Fagon is a loud and engaging comic. Growing up as that rare thing in the midlands of the 1980s, the daughter of a Jamaican newsagent mother, has clearly left its mark. Despite years of child drama classes and theatre performances, Annette frustrated her mother by spending 6 years at university, leaving without a degree, and returning to work there for a further 2 years. After a variety of odd jobs - disability support worker, theatre house manager, comedy club waitress - Annette took up an odder job, in stand up comedy. Currently talking - loudly - about everything from hoodies and mobile phone habits to Beyonce's mental state, she has made rapid progress, appearing at theatres around the country. Annette's early efforts have quickly created a buzz.
'With this sort of retro observational comedy, she's just like Peter Kay would be - well, if he were female, black and from Leicester' CHORTLE
