Description

Now in its third year, Bournville Children's Book Festival will take place on 18th-20th March 2016 at various venues across Bournville.

Building on the tremendous success of this year's Book Festival, we've worked hard to bring together a fabulous range of celebrated children's authors, illustrators, storytellers, actors and others for an exciting 3 days including Nick Sharratt!

Here is some of the amazing feedback we received from this year's Book Festival:

"This is the first time we have been to the Book Festival and it was fantastic - Julia Jarman had everyone hanging on her every word, and Simon James had all the children in awe of both his drawings and his stories……We will be definitely be there next year. Such a sense of community, belonging and welcome deserves high praise. Well done to everyone involved!"

Jeanette Rodgers

"Today I watched my son get involved in a way that I've never seen before - moving about, dancing, singing, acting out stories, enjoying the energy of the kids around him…it's been truly wonderful to see. I think you really made magic happen for us all. Thankyou".

Rachel Gillies

"We came all the way from Bristol. Our daughter Olive loved it! Especially meeting the great Korky Paul! Thank you for putting on such a fantastic day".

Ivan Jones

"Thank you for a fantastic festival! My children and I especially enjoyed Nick Cope and Korky Paul. It is a great chance for the children to think more widely about their books, to realise books are created by someone and that maybe they could create their own book one day. Thank you for bringing this opportunity to them!"

Abigail Martin

"We had a fab time visiting from Coventry today. Our 4 year old daughter loved Nick Cope singing rude words about bums! Julia Jarman had the children hanging on her every word! Our 7 year old son absolutely loved Professor McGinty taking them back to Tudor times and Korky Paul and Jake Evans were also highlights. Great family day out!"
