Some say that Evil B is radically changing the face of Drum & Bass mcing. Stepping away from the traditional style of mcing and incorporating a lyrical depth never seen before. The metaphors, similes and word play are a refreshing change to a scene that's needed new dynamics brought in. With nothing but respect to his piers he openly states " There will never be another Skibadee, Hyper D or Eksman, they are the best at what they do, but me, Evil B, I have a different way of doing things and I am the best at it". At first it was undoubtedly a risk to step so far left of what the traditional style is, but over time it has generated so much hype and interest from multi genre fans all over the world. The growl in tone, the lyrical depth mixed with the traditional crowd hype lyrics set Evil B aside from his competitors. Picking up a best MC award at this years 2014 National Drum & Bass Awards has been a long time coming, but Evil B is no stranger to winning awards. Also known under his UKG/Grime alias as B Live he is the most recent winner of the infamous Sidewinder BEST MC award and has collected this accolade 4 times in a row….but the focus is different now. S.H.U.S is a movement that started small and out of love which has now turned into an army of supporters from all over the world equally as passionate about his work as he is. With a catalogue of mix CD's created with good friend and DJ, Logan D, the HBS cd's ranging from 1-4 have painted a vivid picture of life, giving insight to struggle, success, laughter and tears, something that every supporter can relate to which is perhaps the reason why supporters feel so passionate about his movement. I could advise you to watch out for this incredible talent but you probably already are. HBSv4 is a 'lyrical masterpiece ' .When asked what his next move is, he replied with 'STREET LEVEL POLITICS' and if the HBS series is anything to go by then we know this is something to anticipate.
